Don't call foreigners "Falang" but "kon kàú" ("whites") because every foreigner is different.
There is a principle: Persons who don't solve their problems, they get their problems solved by others.
It seems really strange how Thais and Thai women are "solving" problems. "Buddhist" kind of solving problems is to wait until the problem is solving by itself. But this is really the only Buddhist life element I could watch in Thailand. Thais are shy and do not like to ask when they have got a problem, but they rather like to live with restrictions for life instead of looking for a solution actively by investigations. This counts for many problems which are principally easy to solve when there is only a little glimpse of architecture or sociology.
Problems in Thailand which cannot solve by themselves
-- almost all houses in Thailand have got a gable roof blocking any development for more floors. Thus a flat roof would be much better for installing more floors for the children "on it" - as it's done for example in South "America"
-- there are many houses without water tank on the roof, but they have their water tank in the bathroom and the toilet is only running with a bucket operating by hand and a shower is impossible
-- in public traffic in Thailand there are many little vehicles called "taxi", and public buses can hardly be seen or cannot be seen at all in the countryside
-- there is a public traffic in Thailand without time table only circulating when the driver wants and then the vehicle is also driving slowly for "waiting" for passengers and the trip is hardly going on
-- there are the fishermen's villages and rice farms without water towers and partly also without any Internet connection
-- there are fishermen's villages in Thailand where in many houses are not existing any tables or chairs for children for making their home work
-- and in Thailand in the countryside there is a huge problem with vermin and lice in the hair of women
-- and in Thailand there is a timidity from distributing ant powder against ants
-- and there is a giant alcoholism problem in Thailand above all in the countryside where even children are learning how a beer is taken "in a good style"
-- until today the dwellers of rice farms are eating meals by hand and fingers because there is no cutlery but a little soup spoon
-- there is a corrupt Thai Government not regulating the traffic sector but always constructing new roads leaving the railway system without any enlargement because it seems that the international mafia means that a good railway system would not be necessary
-- there is a corrupt Thai Government letting work mafia groups for the Government so any universitary research is not developed and all working places in connection with research are placed in all other countries but Thailand.
Frustration with English in Thailand
-- Thai Board of Education lets work children with English books without any Thai phrase or instruction in the books thus the children and parents are absolutely overstrained and nobody feels any joy with English
-- Thai Board of Education let work children also with English books without any phonetic indication for pronunciation, and therefore any indication about pronunciation is missing for the children and they can "form" their pronunciation according to their fantasy
Well, certain problems simply do not solve by themselves as one can see above, and when the problem is that big that it is not soluble any more, then people begin with curses and begin shifting the guilt around simply by joke or by defiance, or by helplessness. This provokes with youths or also with adult Thai people - even with parents - childish reactions and childish behavior.
Curse word of "Falang" against white foreigners
Such a curse word of helplessness is the word "Falang". This word is a Thai curse against white foreigners because there are always more and more white foreigners living in Thailand, and because the Thai population who mostly hardly can read nor write do not know why this is like this. Most of Thai population has no profit by the presence of white foreigners in Thailand. And therefore Thais feel "occupied" by these many white foreigners who mostly have much more money than the Thais, but who hardly ever learn the Thai language. Well, Thai population does not know many things:
1. Thais do not know that the whites on the world are different depending of their origin and thus this general term of "Falang" is absolutely wrong (The same would be with the collective term of "Asian": A Thai cannot be a Chinese, and a Chinese cannot be a Japanese either).
2 Thais do not know that there is an international mafia in Thailand working with hotels, restaurants, shopping centers and bars - and "normal" Thais don't have much profit by this
3 Thais do not know that their corrupt Thai government in Bangkok is getting much profit from the foreigners charging partly high visa fees, above all by so called "illegal" visas enabling a human life only.
