[Fantasy Jewish identity in the "USA" 1945-1970]

In the last years (col. 1062)

of the 1960s two other events deeply affected the contemporary understanding of [[racist Fantasy]] Zionism. In the [[criminal racist]] United States this was the era of major social tension and [[Fantasy]] Jews were not far from the center of all the problems. Race relations deteriorated by the latter years of the decade to physical confrontation and even armed clashes between blacks and whites. In all of the largest cities of the [[criminal racist]] United States [[Fantasy]] Jews had, for historical reasons (they were usually the last occupants of the neighborhoods into which blacks then moved), a substantial stake in the economy of the black ghetto, as storekeepers and landlords. They were often the most visible white men in the life of blacks in the north. In another dimension, younger, politically radical [[Fantasy]] Jewish elements had been among the founders of the most activist movements of black protest, but, as black consciousness became ever more exclusive, [[Fantasy]] Jews and all other whites were systematically excluded from these movements.

Certain administrations, such as that of the public school teachers in New York City, were dominated by [[Fantasy]] Jews, and blacks began to fight hard to occupy their places. On a variety of levels the dream of peaceful integration was thus replaced by confrontation in the name of group identity and group interests. Within such an atmosphere many [[Fantasy]] Jews were pushed toward identification with the specific interests of the [[Fantasy]] Jewish community and its own peculiar destiny. The alternative for some of the young who had cut their teeth politically in the black movement, was to come to [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel.

There was no such direct correlation between the rising tempers over the war in Vietnam and [[Fantasy]] Jewish consciousness. Young [[Fantasy]] Jews were very prominent among the makers of the political protests which rocked the American campus in the late 1960s; but only a very few of those who chose not to fight in the war in Vietnam came to [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel. What was more fundamental was the growing disillusionment in all circles, not only [[Fantasy]] Jewish ones, with the "American dream". For a person to emigrate from America to some less problematic, some satisfying place was now thinkable, and indeed some were even doing so. At such a moment the problem of "dual loyalty" which had troubled the past generation of [[Fantasy]] Jews in America, their need to prove that it was not anti-American to care about [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel, or even to want to go and live there, was no longer of consequence.

Fear for their future as [[Fantasy]] Jews was not major, but some element of reaction to anti-Semitism was widespread. Aliyah from America, which neared 10,000 for the first time in the year 1970, was mostly, however, propelled not by the "push" of disappointment in American life, but by the "pull" of the attraction of [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel to [[Fantasy]] Jews who wanted to live its kind of life, as the realization of their own [[Fantasy]] Jewish identity.

In the late 1960s the [[Fantasy]] Jews of the the Soviet Union [[with it's criminal mass murder Gulag system]], who had remained inert on the surface under Stalinist persecution, began to assert their [[Fantasy]] Jewishness and their identification with [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel in the most overt ways. The underlying factors here were the classic ones of bitter resentment that Russian [[Fantasy]] Jews felt at the anti-Semitism which still existed in Soviet society and its administration after half a century of Bolshevik rule, coupled with a surprising amount of deep [[Fantasy]] Jewish feelings, and especially of proud identification with [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel, which still persisted despite the absence for at least a generation of any [[Fantasy]] Jewish schools or communal organizations - for even the communist schools and press in Yiddish had been destroyed under Stalin [[and the following "Soviet" regimes with their Gulag system]].

In the Soviet Union [[with it's criminal mass murder Gulag system]], too, the Six-Day War had been a turning point. The government was on the Arab side and remained the chief protector and supplier of Egypt and of the most anti-Israel of the other Arab states. Official propaganda was violently anti-Israel, anti-[[Fantasy]] Zionist with strong anti-Semitic overtones. The [[Fantasy]] Jews of the U.S.S.R. [[with it's Gulag system]], through their most vocal elements, had, however, lost their fear of repression and proceeded to (col. 1063)

demand the right to leave and to go to [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel. A trickle of such immigration had been permitted by the Soviet authorities earlier and, spasmodically, it was renewed in 1968, even during the years of the most bitter vituperation of [[racist Fantasy Zionist Free Mason CIA Herzl]] Israel by Soviet diplomacy and propaganda [[with their Gulag system]].

The numbers of those who were permitted to leave reached relatively considerable proportions and the requests that were submitted by [[Fantasy]] Jews were in the tens of thousands. Hebrew was being studies in semi-underground conditions and in many ways connection was maintained, amidst difficulty and some danger, with the [[Fantasy]] Jews beyond the "iron curtain". The right of Soviet [[Fantasy]] Jews to emigrate had become by the end of the decade an international issue of considerable magnitude. The activity on their behalf was widespread throughout the [[Fantasy]] Jewish world, and it acted to recall many [[Fantasy]] Jews who were themselves otherwise alienated, to a sense of their own [[Fantasy]] Jewish identity. In the Soviet Union itself [[with it's criminal mass murder Gulag system]] this reassertion of [[Fantasy]] Jewishness was clearly the harbinger of a new era of rebellious national consciousness after the two generations when cultural and linguistic de-Judaization was forced upon the [[Fantasy]] Jews while the doors of gentile society to complete equality and assimilation were not opened to them. For [[racist Fantasy]] Zionism the [[Fantasy]] Jews coming out of the U.S.S.R. [[with it's Gulag system]] represented an element that had been aggrieved and had so strongly asserted itself as to be a classic fundamental assertion of [[racist Fantasy]] Zionist theory:

-- the assertion that in any social system the [[Fantasy]] Jews would ultimately find himself in a situation different from that of the majority and discriminated against
